Having served my country in the United States Navy, and my city in the Fire Department, has inspired me to serve our communities as your next School Board member in the South District.
Partisan politics presents the problems we are dealing with. Public Service produces the solutions we need.
Classrooms are meant to be off limits to politics. We need to maintain focus on the curriculum and our children. The agenda is meant to be academic with no alternative leanings or additives.
Public schools are made stronger by our workforce. Whether in the office, the classroom, the custodian, or the cafeteria I am committed to listening and learning to be the leader our public schools need.
Being a first responder requires us to engage in a crisis. Society presents a variety of challenges our students and teachers live with everyday. From public safety to public health we have these issues in public schools and they need to conform to our public policy.
Marlon has spent his career in service to the United States Navy and the Newport News Fire Department. Now he needs you to join the fight for our future. We need you to get involved and help get our schools moving in the right direction. Let us know how you want to volunteer and have a voice in our campaign.
If we join together and make our voices heard, we can fight for the change we want to see!
Voting serves all of us. Thank you for your commitment.
